Panther’s Den

Summer Hours: July 13 – Aug 27, 2026

Open Monday through Thursday, 10am – 4pm*

Students can enjoy the Panther’s Den Student Lounge to study for a class, read a magazine or just meet old friends and make new friends.

Community Expectations

The Panther’s Den is a respectful place. We ask that all students respect staff and policies.

  • You must be a PCCC student with a valid PCCC ID and swipe in using the tabletop reader with your ID to use the Student Lounge.
  • Students are not allowed to borrow other student’s ID cards to access this space.
  • Food is NOT allowed in the Student Lounge unless expressly approved by Center for Student Engagement (CSE) leadership.
  • Only beverages in a sealed container with a secure lid are allowed in the Student Lounge.
  • Students must return all rentals to the RecRe box before 3:55 p.m.
  • Failure to return a rental on time or without a photo will result in a strike.
  • Absolutely no sitting, standing, leaning, or laying on the pool table.
  • No music is allowed unless expressly approved by CSE leadership.
  • The CSE is not responsible for any lost or damage to personal property.
  • All unattended items found by CSE staff will be taken to Public Safety.
  • All furniture in the Student Lounge should not be moved or removed for any reason by students using the space.
  • All students must follow the Student Code of Conduct.
  • If behavior/action in the  Student Lounge is a violation of the Student Code of Conduct, the disciplinary action will be escalated to the Office of Student Affairs for review.
  • Failure to comply with these community expectations may result in removal/suspension from the Student Lounge.
  • The Student Lounge is a collegial, safe, and communal space; therefore, all students are to respect their peers, PCCC employees, guests, and these expectations.

Panther Cafe

Students can enjoy a 5-restaurant Food Court at PCCC’s Paterson campus as well as a Panther Cafe located in the Wanaque Academic student lounge. Vending machines are located throughout each campus.

Fitness Center

Open Monday – Thursday 1:00pm – 5:00pm

Outdoor Fitness Court

Open Monday – Thursday 10:00am – 4:00pm

Open only to current students and alumni.

This Fitness Court® was developed by PCCC, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, and National Fitness Campaign (NFC) to expand free access to high-quality workouts and create equitable access to exercise for communities across the region. The Fitness Court® is the world’s best outdoor gym that lets users leverage their own body weight to get a complete workout using seven exercise stations. Created for adults of all abilities aged 14+, the Fitness Court® workouts are adaptable for all fitness levels, allowing participants to move at their own pace. 

PCCC is among the initial Campaign Partners to join the statewide network of Fitness Courts in New Jersey, with the help of Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey.
