Welding Training at PCCC

PCCC is committed to offering students opportunities to succeed in today’s competitive job market while also training well-prepared professionals to fill jobs for businesses in the community. The Welding certificate program was added to PCCC’s offerings last year and now includes training at the beginner and intermediate levels.

“Well-trained welders are in demand to fill good jobs at all levels,” says Richard Genco, expert instructor and coordinator of the program, which has been training men and women students of all ages over the past year.

Classes are held at PCCC’s new facility for training in the trades at 113 Van Houten Street on the College’s Main Campus in historic downtown Paterson.

Students who successfully complete the program will earn a certificate of achievement and are prepared for an entry-level position in the high-demand, well-paying welding industry.

Graduates of the program may also continue their training and increase their skill level for job advancement and even toward a college degree.

In addition to expert training, the welding program offers financial aid to students who qualify as well as $650 in tools.
