In celebration of Black History Month, the PCCC Broadway Gallery presents Indigenous Roots of the Caribbean.
This amazing exhibit features over 30 artworks that preserve the indigenous crafts of storytelling and visual arts, remastered to relate to modern viewers.
The gallery is located at Broadway and Memorial Drive in Paterson, NJ. Viewing hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 am – 9:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am-5:00 pm.

Joshua Bennett is a Professor of Literature and Distinguished Chair of the Humanities at MIT. He is the author of five books of poetry, criticism, and narrative nonfiction. For his various works, he has received the Paterson Poetry Prize and the Modern Language Association’s William Sanders Scarborough Prize and other honors. He is also the founding editor of Minor Notes, a Penguin Classics book series dedicated to minor poets within the Black expressive tradition.
