STEM Dual Enrollment
STEM Dual Enrollment provides high school students with an opportunity to obtain college credits while completing their required course load for high school. Students take college-level courses at either their high school or Passaic County Community College (PCCC) as part of their normal school curriculum.

Advantages
The S.T.E.M. grant covers all costs associated with S.T.E.M. Dual Enrollment courses.
You will earn high school and college-level credits simultaneously.
You will have more educational options in your junior and senior years of high school.
This is a great introduction to college courses and it helps with the transition from high school to college.
Requirements
Must be a high school junior or senior.
Must be making satisfactory progress toward fulfilling applicable secondary school graduation requirements.
Must have the appropriate academic background for the dual enrollment course.
Must meet the academic criteria and/or have the recommendation of a high school teacher and/or Guidance Counselor.
Must have parental consent to enroll in the course. Students interested must speak with their Guidance Counselor.


Frequently Asked Questions
Dual Enrollment courses are taught by PCCC faculty or high school teachers who have the appropriate academic background. To ensure uniformity, all courses follow the same approved PCCC syllabus whether it is offered on a PCCC campus or at your high school.
If you choose to participate, it is important to remember that you will be starting a college transcript and must follow all the rules and regulations of Passaic County Community College. If you complete the official dropping process before PCCC’s drop/add deadline, then you will not receive a grade. However, if you drop after PCCC’s
drop/add deadline, a grade of “W” (withdrawal) will be recorded on your permanent transcript. You will need to speak to your professor and Guidance Counselor in order to complete the official drop process.
