Passaic County Community College Launches Search for New President

The search to identify the next president of Passaic County Community College (PCCC) is in progress with the launch of a new presidential search webpage that outlines the search process and position qualifications.

Applications and nominations for the presidential position are currently being accepted. The target application deadline is September 8, 2026.

PCCC has partnered with the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) Searches, the executive search division of ACCT, to lead the national search process. ACCT has conducted over 500 community college searches and is helping to recruit competitive candidates. The job posting is available on their website.

Participating with PCCC’s Board of Trustees and ACCT is a search committee of students, faculty, staff, and alumni. PCCC is committed to conducting a thorough, transparent, and inclusive search process, keeping all interested parties updated as the search progresses.

The College’s previous president, Dr. Steven M. Rose, passed away last spring. He had served as president of PCCC for over three decades.

“Dr. Rose was an exemplary leader, beloved by the College community and respected by the wider academic and local communities for his strong belief in the transformative power of education and the visionary leadership that led to PCCC’s expanded presence, increased student success rate, and growth in community collaboration,” said Dennis Marco, Chair of the College’s Board of Trustees.
