Line Art by Fabian Mira: Now on View at The Broadway Gallery

Back by popular demand and in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month is a second exhibition of stunning artworks by Fabian Mira whose 2024 exhibit, Mixed Media, drew rave reviews from visitors. This year’s exhibition, Line Art by Fabian Mira, is on display at PCCC’s Broadway Gallery until January 28, 2026.

An Artist Reception will be held on Thursday, October 9 from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm and will feature a performance by the Viva Vallenato Cumbia Band. The Gallery is located in downtown Paterson on the Main Campus of PCCC. Enter at Broadway and Memorial Drive. Admission to the exhibition and reception is free.

The Lines exhibit features over 30 artworks, most of brilliantly colorful line art, including vivid interpretations of each of the 12 signs of the zodiac, from the Virgo reference to the Virgin Mary, her hands pressed together in prayer, encircled by gorgeous pink roses, to the almost grotesque depiction of Gemini, with a distorted human face and eyes focused in opposite directions, an indication of the dual nature and sometimes duplicity associated with the sign.

Also on display are evocative drawings by Mr. Mira, sensitively rendered and expressive, especially one of a cranky-looking young boy.

Originally from Colombia, the artist was born into a family of passionate art lovers. He began formal art studies at the Escuela Popular De Arte in Medellin, Colombia and later studied textiles and interior design at the Escuela de Diseno Tecnologico. Relocating to the United States, he worked as a model at the Art Students League-New York while continuing his education.

Mr. Mira explores a variety of subjects in his work from women and spirituality to sadness and romance. Among his biggest influences in the field of Linear Art are Alphonse Mucha and Gustav Klimt.

Mr. Mira creates artwork that expresses his beliefs and enriches the human spirit. He looks to reinvent himself every day in his work.

The Broadway Gallery is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm and Saturday from 7:00 am – 5:00 pm and is admission free and handicapped accessible. For more information about this or other exhibits, please email [email protected]
