NAMED SCHOLARSHIP MONTH
Did you hear? April is Named Scholarship Month at PCCC. Thanks to the generosity of a donor, the PCCC Foundation is able to match your scholarship amount in the first year, meaning that you can double the size of your scholarship for a PCCC student—if you act now. By creating a Named Scholarship, you can honor a loved one, or pay tribute to an organization, program, or person that positively impacted your life.
You can set up a Named Scholarship for as little as $500 per year, and it can be paid annually when it is convenient for you. You determine the type of student that you would like to support. In addition, each year, you will be invited to the PCCC Foundation Named Scholarship Breakfast to meet the recipient.
Together we can change lives
Our students are trying desperately to improve their lives. Many of them, for example, are close to graduation, have exhausted their financial aid, and are unable to pay out-of-pocket. Without a postsecondary degree or credential, these students will struggle to secure meaningful employment that pays family-sustaining wages. A degree from PCCC can be life-changing.

Jehan Shalabi
Through PCCC’s STEM program, Jehan participated in a robotics competition, acted as a physics tutor, became a flight simulator instructor in the avionics lab, and built a telescope with the astronomy club. She is now in a PhD program at Purdue University, a leading institution for electrical engineering,
Maximino DiGiacomo-Castillo
Before PCCC Stanford University would have been out of reach for Max, who was not a particularly high achiever in high school, but at PCCC, he discovered his talent for research and transformed. He transferred to Stanford University to pursue a degree in Computer Science.
Elizabeth Adapoe
As an adult student who also had a job, Elizabeth struggled to keep up with her younger classmates. After failing an exam, Elizabeth wanted to quit. The nursing faculty, however, refused to let her give up. She graduated and tranfered to New Jersey City Univeristy with the goal of one day earning her master’s degree.
