Poetry Reading -Paterson Literary Review

Join us for a Publication Celebration of the Paterson Literary Review and Poetry Reading on Saturday, November 2, 2024  at the Passaic County Community College Poetry Center in the historic Hamilton Club on the Main Campus in Paterson.

The reading begins at 1:00 pm and spotlights poets whose work is featured in the Paterson Literary Review Issue 54, 2024.  An open reading follows the scheduled poets. The Paterson Literary Review is a highly regarded and widely read annual publication of the PCCC Poetry Center.  Established in 1979 by Maria Mazziotti Gillan, founder and director of the PCCC Poetry Center,  the Paterson Literary Review began as a mimeographed publication and, in the more than four decades since, it has become one of the most well-respected resources for poetry in the country. The journal has published poets of diverse styles, including Allen Ginsberg, William Stafford, Ruth Stone, Sonia Sanchez, Jan Beatty, Laura Boss, Marge Piercy, Martín Espada, David Ray, and Diane di Prima

The Hamilton Club Building is wheelchair accessible; large print materials and FM assistive listening devices available on request. The Poetry Center at PCCC is funded, in part, by a grant from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.  The Hamilton Club Gallery is open M-F from 8 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and on select Saturdays during poetry readings.
