Spotlight on our Graduates

Daniela Velazquez
Valedictorian

Daniela Velazquez
Valedictorian

Daniela will receive her AA Degree in Liberal Arts/Humanities with highest honors. A member of the National Honor Society at PPA and the PTK Honor Society at PCCC, Daniela graduates with a 3.99 GPA and plans to continue her education, on scholarship, at Columbia University, where she will double major in psychology and film studies.

Elizabeth Adapoe

Elizabeth Adapoe received the “Professional Nursing Award,” given each year to the graduating student who demonstrated clinical excellence throughout the program. Next spring, she will enter an RN to BSN
program at New Jersey City University, and she has the goal to one day earn her master’s degree.

Delia Casamenti

Delia Casamenti

Delia graduates with high honors and her associate’s degree in Liberal Arts/Psychology. She was named to the 2022 New Jersey All-State Academic Team, and is also a recipient of the prestigious Guistwhite Scholarship, an award given through the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society.

Ashely Diaz

Ashely graduates with numerous honors. She was named to the 2022 NJ All-State Academic Team, received a scholarship award from the Coca-Cola Foundation, and is a recipient of the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation’s Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship, one of the most prestigious academic awards for community college students.

Diego Pajares Herrera

Diego Pajares Herrera

Diego graduates with his Associate in Science Degree in Biology and with highest honors. He transfers to the University of Michigan on a full scholarship and will major in cellular molecular developmental biology.

Ibn Carter

Ibn graduates with an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Graphic Design as well as a Career Certificate in Video Production. He plans to transfer to Berkeley College to continue his education in graphic design.

Jorge Duarte

Jorge Duarte

Last December, Jorge graduated with high honors and his Associate in Science in Engineering Science Degree.   He transferred to the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) where he is a junior, in the honors program, and working toward a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering.
