Alumni Representative to the PCCC Board of Trustees
Dear Member of the Graduating Class of 2025,
Each year the graduating class elects an alumni representative to the PCCC Board of Trustees. This representative is a non-voting member with a term of one-year, effective July 1 of the year in which they graduate. The responsibility of the Board of Trustees is to set policies and procedures for Passaic County Community College. In addition to that, the Board also determines the educational curriculum and program of the College in line with its institutional mission; appoints the President and other officers of the College; fix and determines tuition rates and other fees to be paid by students; and grant diplomas, certificates or degrees, to name a few of its many duties.
As the alumni representative to the Board of Trustees, you will be the one who represents the interests of PCCC students and act as their voice to the Board of Trustees. Your role is very significant and one that all future PCCC students will benefit from for years to come. The Board of Trustees membership is composed of the county superintendent of schools and 10 persons, eight of whom are appointed by the Passaic County Board of Chosen Freeholders and two appointed by the Governor of New Jersey.
If you have an interest in serving as the Alumni Representative to the Board of Trustees, complete the application which can be found here: https://pccccentral.etrieve.cloud/Index#/form/125. Along with the application, you will need to provide in a Word document a brief bio, and personal statement as to why you should be chosen as the next alumni representative and a recent photo of yourself.
All material needs to be submitted by June 10, 2025. Any questions, please email [email protected]. Once all applications have been received, your vote will decide who should be the voice of the 2025 graduating class for the students of Passaic County Community College!
Thank you for your continued interest in Passaic County Community College and in keeping it the fastest growing community college in New Jersey!
Leah Johnson, Ph.D.
Associate Vice President/Dean of Student Affairs
