Alumni Representative to the PCCC Board of Trustees

Each year the graduating class elects a student representative to the Board of Trustees.
This representative is a non-voting member with a term of one-year, effective July 1 of the year in which he or she graduates. The responsibility of the Board of Trustees is to set policies and procedures for Passaic County Community College.  In addition, the Board also:

  • determines the educational curriculum and program of the college in line with its institutional mission
  • appoints the President and other officers of the college
  • fixes and determines tuition rates and other fees to be paid by students
  • grants diplomas, certificates, or degrees

As the alumni representative to the Board of Trustees, you will be the one who represents the interests of PCCC students and acts as their voice to the Board of Trustees.  Your role is very significant and one that all future PCCC students will benefit from for years to come.

The Board of Trustees membership is composed of the county superintendent of schools and 10 persons, eight of whom are appointed by the Passaic County Board of Chosen Freeholders and two appointed by the Governor of the State.

If you have an interest in serving as the Alumni Representative to the Board of Trustees, you must submit an application. Your application should include the following:

  • completed application form
  • recent photo (headshot is acceptable)
  • brief biography
  • Personal Statement as to why you should be chosen as the next Alumni Representative to the Board of Trustees.

Submission Deadline: TBD

Submit to:
Passaic County Community College
Office of Student Affairs
One College Boulevard
Paterson, NJ 07505

Once all applications have been received, a mailing will take place, so you can decide who should be the voice of the students of Passaic County Community College!

Thank you for your continued interest in Passaic County Community College and in keeping it the fastest growing community college in New Jersey!
