1. When is my bill due?

Your due date is printed on the top right hand corner of your schedule.


2. What if I do not have a copy of my bill?

You may request a copy in person from the Registrar's Office.


3. What if I have tuition remission from my company?

You must provide documentation on company letterhead to the Bursar's office prior to the due date stating that the company will pay the bill in full regardless of the grades you receive or if you do not complete the course.

Payment must be made directly to the College.


4. How do I defer my payments?

You may take out a student loan through the Financial Aid office, or you may set up a payment plan through the Bursar's office. A payment plan requires a down payment prior to the due date listed on the top right corner of your schedule.


5. What Credit Cards do you accept?

We accept, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover.


6. What methods of payment can I use to pay my bill?

We accept Cash, Check, or Credit Cards.


7. How can I pay my bill?

  • MAIL: checks only
  • ON-LINE: credit cards and checks.
  • IN-PERSON: PATERSON CAMPUS ONLY 
  • DROP BOX: PATERSON CAMPUS ONLY


8. Can I pay over the telephone?

No.


9. Can I pay in person at any other Campus than Paterson?

No.


10. What happens if I don't pay my bill by the due date?

If you are an early registrant and fail to pay your bill by the date listed in the upper right hand corner of your schedule, or the dates listed on the website, you will be assessed a late fee as listed in the official tuition and fee schedule set by the college.  Please see the Payment Policy.


11. Do I have to come into the office to have my schedule stamped?

The reason for having your schedule stamped to get an ID or parking decal, any of which may be done by proving you are paid in full for your semester, on a payment plan, or have financial aid.  You may present any of the following documents to the Security office to do this.

  1. A paid receipt from an online payment
  2. A paid receipt from a payment made at the bursar’s office
  3. A printed schedule that show a payment was made
  4. A printed schedule that shows you have financial Aid, which is one that has a “Y” in the FA Clearance section.

12. What is a book deferment and do I get one?

Book deferments are monies in excess of your tuition from financial aid that may be used for books.


13. When can I go to the bookstore and buy my books?

Books may be purchased approximately three weeks before classes start. Contact the bookstore directly at 973-247-9406


14. When will my financial aid be paid, and when will I get my refund?

Financial Aid is paid only after 60% of the semester has been completed. Then students are paid on a rolling basis. Any refunds will be mailed directly to the students at the address that is currently on file with the Registrar's Office. No information regarding refund checks will be given over the telephone.


15. I received a 1098-T in the mail. What is this for?

16. My tuition charges include a fee for health insurance- but I am already covered under a health insurance policy. Do I have to pay this?

It is mandatory that every student have health insurance. You are required to pay for the insurance listed on your bill.  At the start of the semester every student who is registered into at least 12 credits will receive an email to their college portal account, and if you already have valid health insurance you then complete the Form in the email and return it to the Bursar’s office by the due date listed and the fee will then be credited to your account.

17. Who is eligible for a tuition waiver, and how does this work?
