Dr. Lucia Gheorghiu,
Members of the Business Club observed Earth Day by planting trees throughout the City of Paterson.
The Business Club at Passaic County Community College is a student- run club open to both business and non-business students.
Members learn practical skills for success, such as creating business cards, preparing for job interviews, or learning to do Powerpoint presentations.
They also engage in activities and field trips to explore the impact of business principles and business activity in the world beyond the campus.
Workshops about investing teach members the skills and knowledged needed for successful investments.
The club organizes a yearly business trip to a major center of financeand commerce. Recent trips include visits to the United Nations, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and the Museum of Television and Advertising.
Participating in community-related activities is another feature of club life that enables students to learn the importance of forming strong business/community relationships.
For instance, to commemorate Earth Day, members of the Business Club planted trees at locations throughout the City of Paterson , home of PCCC’s main campus.
This activity gave members the opportunity to collaborate with public agencies and officials while also benefiting the community through environmental and esthetic improvements. (click here to see photos)
Through work and fun, members of the Business Club come to experience both the spirit of independent enterprise and the rewards of collegial teamwork.
